A very interesting part of the railway infrastructure, this wrought iron bridge originally dates back to 1848 as far as the Norfolk Industrial Society is concerned and was originally built to carry trams and rail traffic between the quays and the Great Yarmouth Vauxhall Railway Station (one of three mainline stations in the town at that time). Restoration on the eastern span of the bridge began in 2012 and it now forms an integral part of the redevelopment (underway at the time of writing - August 2018) of the railway station - now simply called Great Yarmouth - and it's precincts and approaches, with an overall plan to lead foot passengers from the station to the town centre.
