Great place for kids. Town is in good walking distance and they have lots of entertainment on through the day time.
Another lovely stay with havens seashore park this year. We have been almost every year since I was a child and now take my own children every last weekend of the peak season for the Halloween party and fireworks display which is completely free. We usually go as a group of 30+ and have always managed to get seating together by timing our selves into venues productively. The clubhouse and arcades never fail to keep us all amused and the kids will always get a turn on stage for one thing or another. However the facilities are becoming rather a let down with every year that passes. The food in the mash and barrel is really poor quality and tastes pretty bad. We usually head into to town to eat. If we have ordered food in the mash and barrel every time they have had one of the meals unavailable (usually order for 6 of us not the full 30+) the drinks taste really cheap and artificial and often the beer is flat. The caravans are in good nick as long as you are using an upgraded one but there is nearly always something wrong with the bedding whether it's stained or forgotten linen. The hand sanitizer around the whole park is never working I found 2 to work out of the 6 I Found and the bowling lanes really need to be maintained. All the little finer details would make this an excellent park however it's always let down by a lack of maintenance and attention to detail.
A great seafront position, right on the beach and the resort is spread over a large area so be prepared for a walk. Pub very nice with plenty of food choices and very nice it was too. Great Yarmouth itself is about a 45 minute walk away or there is a train 2 each but it wasn't running.
Left a day early as really disliked it there. The caravan was like a box with doors and windows, did not feel homely and was not comfortable. Not what we thought we had booked but it was clean. Entertainment was appalling. Drinks in bar changed prices in 30 mins and were very expensive. Food on site was very expensive. Road train to pleasure beach was a godsend as the park was boring and the staff were miserable. First time in Haven Park as we normally use John Fowler who we have had no problems with in the past. We just wanted different location. Never again.
Reason for 4 stars and not 5 is just the lack of activities for teenagers. The park its self was lovely and clean. The staff were all friendly and polite. Our caravan was fab. Very clean and well appointed. We were quite close to everything but it is the first time in a long time we weren't bothered by other families returning to their caravans at night. The pool was a good size. Like the baby pool being completely separate. The new racing slide lanes were fun.We played golf and enjoyed the amusements. The bowling was a bargain 1 per person for 10 bowl game. Its electronic and in the amusement area.Overall really happy with the park would highly recommend.
